Overview: Kahana Home Dashboard
The Home Dashboard is the central place for managing all your activity on Kahana. From here, you can easily access, organize, and interact with the hubs you’ve created, viewed, or are a part of. The Home Dashboard is designed to give you an overview of your projects and streamline your workflow by offering a variety of tools and options for each hub.
Overview of the Home Dashboard
When you open the Home Dashboard, you'll find:
- Hubs you’ve built – All the hubs you’ve personally created will appear here for easy access.
- Hubs you’ve viewed – This includes hubs you’ve browsed from the Explore page, hubs shared with you, or hubs where you're a collaborator.
- Scroll to find hubs – The dashboard allows you to scroll through the hubs you’ve interacted with, making it simple to navigate between them.
Accessing Hub-Specific Features
Each hub on the Home Dashboard comes with a menu of actions you can take. By clicking the three-dot menu on any hub, you’ll reveal a set of hub-specific options:
- Monetization Tools
This feature allows you to set a price on the hubs you've created. You can offer them as paid content to generate revenue, making Kahana a platform where your knowledge can be monetized. - Collaboration
Invite others to collaborate on your hub by assigning them roles:- Viewer: Can only view the hub.
- Commenter: Can view and leave comments on the hub’s content.
- Editor: Can modify content within the hub.
- Admin: Has full control over the hub, including permissions management.
You can also remove collaborators at any time.
- Edit Hub Info
Customize your hub by editing its key details:- Title: The hub's name.
- Metadata (Tags): Tags help others discover your hub on the Explore page.
- Cover Photo: Add a cover photo to represent your hub visually.
- Description: Write a description that will appear on your hub’s paywall (if monetized) or as a featured snippet on the Explore page.
- Duplicate
If you’d like to create a copy of any hub (as long as it's public and not monetized), use the duplicate feature to easily recreate it. - Delete Hubs You’ve Built
If a hub is no longer needed, you can delete it. Be cautious, as this action is irreversible. - Leave Hubs You’re a Member Of
If you no longer want to be part of a hub you’re collaborating on, you can choose to leave it.
Viewing Hub Information
Next to each hub, you’ll also see valuable information, including:
- View count – The number of times your hub has been viewed.
- Monetization status – Whether your hub is available as paid content.
- Your role/permissions – See your current access level (e.g., Viewer, Editor, Admin) for any hub you are part of.
By utilizing the Home Dashboard, you can easily manage your hubs, collaborate with others, and take control of the visibility and monetization of your content on Kahana.
