Overview: Kahana Search

Help Guide: Using the Search Feature on Kahana

The Search feature, accessible from the top toolbar on the Kahana platform, allows you to quickly locate hubs, resources, and notes across the Kahana data you have access to, whether from the Home Dashboard or any hub you've built or are a member of.

How to Use the Search Feature:

  1. Accessing Search:
    • From the top toolbar on Kahana, click the Search icon.
    • You can access this toolbar from anywhere on the platform, including from the Home Dashboard or any individual hub.
  2. What You Can Search:
    • The search functionality lets you search through your own Kahana data. This includes:
      • Hubs you've built
      • Hubs you're a member of
  3. Types of Search Results:
    • As you type in the search bar, Kahana will start looking for matching results based on:
      • Hub Titles: Find hubs by their names.
      • Hub Metadata (Tags): Search hubs by tags or metadata assigned to them. These tags help categorize hubs and make them easier to find.
      • Resource Titles: Resources or notes stored in your hubs will also be indexed for search. This includes files, links, documents, and other materials.
  4. Personalized Search Results:
    • The search is localized to the hubs you've either built or have access to as a member. This makes it a powerful tool for quickly locating content across all of your hubs, whether it's something you've created or something you've collaborated on.

If you have a large number of hubs or resources, the Search tool helps you quickly find the content you need without manually browsing through each hub. Whether you're trying to locate a specific resource or recall a hub you viewed recently, this feature is designed to save time and make navigation easier.
